Thanks to a group of kids called the “Tremendous Twelve,” any child can be a hero! These amazing youngsters helped the police catch some robbers in an exciting adventure.
The “Tremendous Twelve” became famous online after they created a human arrow to guide a police helicopter to two burglary suspects who were trying to get away.
Just like the heroes in Enid Blyton’s stories, they had a trusty dog with them—a Yorkshire terrier named Molly.
The kids, who talked about their adventure with The Mail on Sunday, said, “We feel really proud – it was awesome.” They were on an Easter egg hunt in a field in Capel, Surrey, when they noticed the helicopter circling above. The group ranged in age from six to twelve.
A nine-year-old girl recalled, “It was really noisy, and we could see it said ‘police’ on the bottom.” Then they saw a man running across the field. “He took off his sweater and wrapped it around his head,” she said.
The kids tried to yell at the helicopter pilot, but it was no use. The chopper was pointing in the wrong direction. “They were trying to scream at the pilot,” the girl explained.
“Then two of my friends said, ‘Let’s get into an arrow,'” she continued. They all laid down on the ground, forming the shape of an arrow pointing toward where the man was running.
After a minute or so in the dirt, the kids saw the helicopter turn and head in their direction. Their quick thinking and teamwork had paid off, helping the police catch the robbers.
The story of these brave kids shows that there’s always a chance to be a hero. Enjoying life and helping others is what truly matters!
