Season 26 of The Voice is here, and the new lineup of coaches is already making a major impact! This season brings together a unique mix of talent: music legend Reba McEntire, pop queen Gwen Stefani, crooner Michael Bublé, and rap icon Snoop Dogg. This blend of personalities and styles is breathing fresh energy into the show, and fans are loving every second of it.
On September 23, 2024, The Voice Instagram shared a sneak peek of the season with a powerful image of the coaches performing together, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. Right from the start, the coaches aimed to wow the audience by singing a classic hit: The Eagles’ “Heartache Tonight.” Choosing this 1979 rock anthem was the perfect way for each coach to showcase their musical strengths.
Snoop Dogg stepped out in a shiny black suit, setting the stage with his cool, laid-back vibe and easy swagger. As he walked out from the audience, people couldn’t take their eyes off him. Michael Bublé followed, looking sharp in a crisp tuxedo, and as soon as he began to sing, his smooth, silky voice added a whole new layer of charm to the performance.
Then came Reba McEntire, whose country voice added a rich twist to the chorus. Gwen Stefani, bringing her signature pop energy, lit up the stage with her charisma, dancing and singing with all her heart.
The audience was captivated, feeling the chemistry and power in this group, and by the end of the performance, they were cheering like crazy. This wasn’t just an opening—it was a statement that this season would be something special.
Social media exploded with excitement after the performance. One fan raved, “Snoop is really holding his own. Wasn’t too sure about him being a judge, but I think he’s going to be great!” Another added, “I am SHOOKETH! They really got some excellent vocals out of Snoop.” People were thrilled to see Snoop stepping outside his comfort zone.
Snoop’s style also didn’t go unnoticed. One viewer praised his look, saying, “Love the jacket too. Everybody looked like they were having fun. Reba was serving vocals. This was her song choice. lol. Love it though.” Another fan was in awe of Snoop’s versatility, exclaiming, “I didn’t know Snoop could sing?!!! I know him as a rapper.” The compliments kept coming: “Snoop has a great voice. Very smooth—just like him.”
Snoop had been building up anticipation for his role on The Voice for months. Just four months earlier, he talked about his excitement on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Well, if you know anything about me, you know I love all forms of music. So this is a great opportunity for me to show I really understand music and, you know, be a real coach,” Snoop shared with Fallon.
Not only is Snoop sharing his wisdom as a coach, but he’s also adding his own unique twist by giving out Death Row Records chains as awards to his top-performing artists—a tribute to the hip-hop label he owns. One lucky contestant, Jake Tankersley, even earned a chance to receive one of these chains after delivering a standout performance of “Something in the Orange” by Zach Bryan.
Fans are buzzing with excitement over Snoop’s presence on the show. With his cool attitude, surprising vocal skills, and creative coaching style, it’s clear that Snoop is ready to leave his mark on The Voice, and fans can’t wait to see what he’ll do next!
