Justin Bieber may not be a father yet, but his mother, Pattie Mallette, has already congratulated him on Father’s Day.
Justin Bieber, 30, received early praise from his mother on American Father’s Day, June 16th. “You will be the best dad ever,” prophesied Pattie Mallette, 49, to the singer, who is eagerly awaiting his first child with his wife, Hailey Bieber, 27.

On Sunday, Mallette used her Instagram page to honor Justin Bieber as an upcoming father. It’s the first time the expectant grandmother has commented on her famous son’s baby joy. “Happy Father’s Day, Justin. You have always wanted to be a father as long as I can remember. You have so much love to give,” she gushed alongside three pictures of the couple, including Hailey Bieber’s baby bump. “You will be the best dad ever. You already are,” she affirmed. “I love you!”
One picture shows her pregnant daughter-in-law in a white lace dress while Justin Bieber places his hands on her belly. It’s from the photoshoot used for the pregnancy announcement on May 9th. Additionally, Mallette posted a picture of the happy couple sharing a passionate kiss, with the expectant mother showing her baby bump in an open blouse. Finally, Mallette also shared a selfie of Hailey, showcasing her growing belly.
In her Instagram story, she also expressed her excitement that her son is becoming a father. She also shared one of Hailey Bieber’s photos, where she poses with her lifted shirt to show her belly, captioned “Beautiful mom.”
Married since September 2018
The singer and the model have known each other for several years. They first briefly dated from December 2015 to January 2016 but broke up. They reconciled in June 2018 and got married three months later in a civil ceremony. A year later, they celebrated a grand wedding in South Carolina in September 2019. Since then, there have been speculations about pregnancy as well as marital problems.
In early May, the Biebers announced their first child with a video on their Instagram accounts. It wasn’t confirmed how far along the pregnancy was, but according to “TMZ,” she was already more than six months pregnant at the announcement, suggesting the baby could be due at the end of the summer, possibly in August or September.
