Tiffany Floyd and her four-year-old daughter stopped at a Burger King drive-thru near their home in Western New York for a quick meal. What should have been a simple treat turned into a disturbing experience after her daughter complained about “ketchup” on her lunch.
In a TikTok video, Floyd recounted, “I went to Burger King by my house today.” She described how her daughter said, “Mom, I don’t want ketchup,” right after receiving her meal.
Thinking they got the order wrong, Floyd took the bag back. “And I see blood everywhere when I look in her bag,” she said.

Floyd told People that her daughter didn’t realize there was “ketchup” until she had some French fries and bit into her cheeseburger. Initially thinking it was ketchup too, Floyd soon discovered it was blood.
She immediately called the restaurant to speak with the manager, who explained that a staff member had cut their hand before packing her food.
“He was so calm about it, and I was furious,” Floyd said of the manager, who offered a refund if she returned to the store.
After giving her daughter the bag of Burger King food, she hears her say, “Mom, I don’t want ketchup.”
Floyd also filed a report with her local health agency but was told there wasn’t much they could do.
Burger King responded by temporarily closing its Gettzville restaurant for deep cleaning and staff retraining.
Despite these measures, Floyd remains “distraught” over the incident. Her daughter now needs monthly blood tests and refuses to eat for fear of finding blood in her food.
Floyd hopes her TikTok video, viewed over six million times, serves as a warning to check food before eating, especially for those who visited the Gettzville location on July 27.
“Before taking a bite of your food from a drive-thru, take a moment to check,” Floyd advised. “I never realized how important that could be.”

This is not acceptable cause whoever cut their hand should have noticed the blood as the food was wrapped and I don’t understand why it wasn’t taken more seriously especially since it was blood !!!
