Meghan Markle “ready to sit down” with royal family amid rift, according to expert

When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left their senior royal roles in 2020 and moved to North America, many royal fans felt disappointed. Meghan shared many difficult experiences she faced within the royal family, yet there were several incidents where fans turned against her. Recently, she was even accused of trying to steal the spotlight from her former royal friend, Kate Middleton.

The tension with the royal family has been brewing for years. While Prince Harry has visited the UK several times, Meghan has often stayed behind, citing security concerns. Some believe this shows she’s not interested in mending ties with the royals.

One royal expert claims Harry misses his old friends and is seeking a permanent home in the UK. At the same time, he’s reportedly “petrified” of losing his wife and might not be eager to reconcile with his family. However, Meghan is reportedly open to a sit-down, offering a glimmer of hope for reconciliation.

Despite their complaints about their treatment in the UK, Harry and Meghan’s quest for a more private life in the US has been a constant topic. They have continued to stay in the public eye with interviews, a book, a Netflix show, and podcasts, which contrasts with their initial desire to step back from the spotlight.

Their apparent desire for more attention didn’t go unnoticed. They were even mocked on the popular comedy show, South Park. Since leaving the royal family, they have returned to the UK only a few times. They attended Queen Elizabeth’s funeral together, but when King Charles was diagnosed with cancer, Harry visited him alone, with Meghan staying in the US.

The feud between the Sussexes and The Firm seems far from over. Despite this, Harry and Meghan reached out to Kate Middleton after her surgery and cancer diagnosis, although they reportedly learned about it through the news, not directly from family.

A royal expert suggests that Prince William and Kate Middleton are ready to try and make peace. “There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK,” royal author Tom Quinn told the Mirror. He mentioned that William and Kate had invited Harry and Meghan, along with their children, to visit England, but Meghan wasn’t interested.

In May, Harry visited the UK for a special Invictus Games service at St Paul’s Cathedral. Initially, Meghan wanted to join him but changed her mind over concerns about their children’s safety.

A source explained, “Meghan doesn’t feel safe bringing the children to the UK. It’s now about whether the family should attend with increased security or Harry should go alone.”

Harry reportedly pleaded with his wife to reconsider, saying, “I don’t want to do this alone.” He would prefer regular family visits to build bridges, but the ongoing issues make it difficult.

Harry and Meghan were planning a UK visit, but when the exact time and date became public, Meghan reconsidered. Her children’s safety isn’t her only concern. According to an OK! Magazine source, Meghan doesn’t want to face an anxiety-filled visit where she feels unwanted.

Only time will tell if Meghan will join Harry for the UK trip. But a reunion with the royal family seems unlikely. The strained relationship between Meghan and Kate Middleton, highlighted by Meghan’s revelation in the Oprah interview that Kate made her cry over a dress argument before her wedding, remains a focal point.

Meghan Markle Ready to Reconcile?

Despite years of tension, Meghan reportedly wants to sit down with the royal family. Royal expert Angela Levin told GB News that Meghan is still genuinely hurt by how the royal family treated her but wants to talk things through. “She wants the royal family to apologize, but they don’t want that,” Levin said.

Levin also mentioned that Meghan hopes to use a good relationship with her in-laws to help her sell her jam. She’s trying to get Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and even King Charles, to support her business.

Meghan reportedly “never wanted to set foot in Britain ever again,” but this might change her relationship with the royals. The Duchess has reached out to Kate Middleton after her surgery and cancer diagnosis, news the Sussexes found out from the media, not their family.

Meghan is focusing on her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, selling jam. Angela Levin’s claim that making amends with the royals could help her sell more jam might not sit well with royal fans, as Meghan was recently accused of taking advantage of Kate’s royal return.

On June 15, hours before Kate Middleton’s royal return during Trooping the Colour, Argentinian polo player Nacho Figueras, a close friend of Meghan and Harry, revealed Meghan’s new raspberry-flavored jam on Instagram.

The timing of the announcement angered many royal fans. One fan said, “Stop trying to overshadow the real royals!” Another added, “Meghan is always trying to steal the spotlight.” A third chimed in, “Just let Kate have her moment.”

And a fourth person concluded, “Who buys jam anyway? It is so easy to make right at home with fresh fruit and a load of sugar!”

Despite the backlash, a source close to Meghan told the Daily Beast she had nothing to do with it. The source said, “You can’t tell Nacho Figueras what to do. The timing of his post was his own idea.”

The source added, “The American Riviera Orchard campaign has been phenomenally successful and cost Meghan nothing. The only problem is that there still seems to be nothing actually for sale, so what is it all for? I guess we will find out.”
