There’s something magical about couples who have been together for a long time. It’s like they’re so connected, they know what the other is thinking without even speaking. That’s exactly how Kelly Ripa and her husband, Mark Consuelos, are.
They’ve been married for nearly 30 years, and Mark knows Kelly better than anyone. So, for Kelly’s 54th birthday, her loving husband gave her a surprise that showed just how well he knows her – her favorite sweet treat!
Kelly couldn’t help but make a joke, saying, “Thank you, Carvel! Thank you for inventing Fudgie the Whale, which is the only reason I agree to turn older every year.”
Mark and Kelly: Soulmates Through and Through
Their love story started back in 1995 when they met on the set of All My Children. A year later, in 1996, they eloped, and the rest is history. Now, they’re proud parents of three children: Michael, 26, Lola, 22, and Joaquin, 20. It takes a lot of love, patience, and commitment to stay happily married for 28 years, but Mark and Kelly seem to have figured out the secret to a lasting relationship.
To celebrate Kelly’s big day, Mark posted a series of sweet photos on Instagram, along with a special message set to Madonna’s song Addicted. He wrote, “Happy Birthday Sexy! I’m so glad you were born. What a beautiful sprint around the sun. The best is yet to come. P.S. I promise not to snore so much this year.”
Kelly, always full of love and humor, replied, “Thank you, baby, excellent song choice.”
Fans and friends quickly jumped in with their birthday wishes. Andy Cohen was one of the first, commenting, “The Song!!! Happy birthday!”
Another fan added, “Gorgeous!! Love you on the show, love you period!! Happy bday.”
Someone else even threw in a playful promise, saying, “Happiest Birthdays to you, Kelly! I promise not to snore as much to my husband! Have an awesome day! I love you so much!”
It looks like Kelly’s 54th birthday was full of love, laughter, cake, and promises of less snoring from Mark. Here’s hoping this year is her best one yet!
