Weddings are always special, but when it’s the daughter of a music legend, it’s even more exciting. Sofia Richie, the daughter of world-famous singer Lionel Richie, had a wedding over the weekend that was nothing short of magical. Her ceremony in the South of France was truly unforgettable.
Sofia Richie, a model and social media star, married British record executive Elliot Grainge in a stunning ceremony. The South of France provided the perfect backdrop for their incredible day.
Sofia was born on August 24, 1998, to Lionel Richie and his second wife Diane Alexander. Her parents divorced in 2004. Sofia has been in the public eye for years and has previously dated celebrities like Justin Bieber and Scott Disick.
For her wedding, Sofia wore three custom-made dresses from the famous fashion house Chanel.
Her first dress was a dazzling high-neck, long-sleeved Chanel Haute Couture gown. She wore this breathtaking, beaded gown to her rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding.
In a video shared by Vogue, Sofia can be heard saying, “I’m scared to move because I don’t want to ruin one bead.” She added, “This is like a fairytale. It really is. It’s like an art piece. I feel like a princess, I really do!”
To complete her look, Sofia wore diamond drop earrings from House of Harlow 1960, designed by her older sister, Nicole Richie. Nicole proudly shared on Instagram, “Making these earrings for my sister is a moment I will never forget.”
For the wedding itself, Sofia chose another Chanel Haute Couture dress. This stunning dress had a halter neckline and was paired with a sparkling veil. Her hair was styled in a chic low chignon, and her natural, dewy makeup made her look radiant. Sofia gave her fans a sneak peek of her dress and hairstyle by posting a video of herself tossing her bouquet.
Her third and final dress of the day was a Chanel Haute Couture two-piece minidress. She wore this glamorous outfit to the after-party following the ceremony. Sofia was thrilled about this dress, saying, “This, to me, is like my little girl dream. And the fact that it is inspired by Claudia Schiffer’s runway dress is iconic and dope.”
Sofia and Elliot began dating in 2021 and got engaged a year later. Sofia converted to Judaism before the wedding to honor Elliot’s faith.
The whole ceremony looked absolutely beautiful, and we wish the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness. Don’t forget to share this enchanting wedding story with your friends and family so they can enjoy it too!
