Keanu Reeves loves motorcycles. The Hollywood star recently visited the Sachsenring with his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant.
Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, 59, and his girlfriend Alexandra Grant, 51, came to Germany to watch a MotoGP race at the Sachsenring in Hohenstein-Ernstthal. In photos from July 7, the couple can be seen holding hands, among other things. The “Bild” newspaper has a snapshot showing the pair sharing a kiss by the track.
Keanu Reeves Loves MotoGP
It’s no surprise that the actor and the visual artist were present. Reeves has always been a fan of motorcycles and a lover of the premier class of motorcycle racing. “I love MotoGP,” Reeves told the newspaper. “It’s great to be here and to have the chance to stand so close to the track.” The Canadian actor is currently in Europe, so “it was a perfect fit.” He doesn’t have a favorite among the racers: “Because everything they do is crazy – just the way they lean into the curves.”
“I love riding motorcycles,” Reeves said in a 2015 interview with the US TV show “CBS News Sunday Morning.” “There’s something about the freedom it brings. […] I love how they look, how they smell, how they feel.” On the US show “Live with Kelly and Mark” last year, Reeves shared that he discovered motorcycles in his twenties. “I didn’t grow up with motorcycles,” he explained.
Although he always wanted to ride, it wasn’t until he was 22, during a film shoot in Germany, that he got his chance. He asked a “young lady” to teach him and started riding around the set. Back home in Los Angeles, he bought his first bike. In 2011, he co-founded the Arch Motorcycle Company.
Hollywood Stars at the Euros
Meanwhile, Berlin also saw Hollywood visitors over the weekend at a sporting event. Hugh Jackman, 55, and Ryan Reynolds, 47, who are currently on a promotional tour for their new film “Deadpool & Wolverine,” watched the Euro quarter-final match between the Netherlands and Turkey at the Olympic Stadium, along with co-star Emma Corrin, 28, and director Shawn Levy, 55.
