Justin Timberlake, 43, was reportedly arrested on the night of Monday, June 18, 2024, in Long Island, New York, for driving under the influence by the police. Shortly thereafter, his mugshot, the police photo, was released by the Sag Harbor Police Department. Photos obtained by “Page Six” showed that the singer has since been released on bail. Now, the musician is addressing his offense for the first time.

The Singer Reportedly “Freaked Out” After Arrest
Earlier, a US magazine reported that Timberlake was deeply affected by the arrest. “He freaked out and stayed up all night when he was taken into custody,” a source told “People.” “He insists he only had one drink and it wasn’t a wild night,” the source continued.
As reported by “CBS News,” the singer had been out to dinner with friends and was stopped shortly after midnight after leaving the group. Shortly after Timberlake’s release, the Sag Harbor Police Department in New York issued a statement. The statement, obtained by “Just Jared” among others, revealed further details about the events. “On June 18, 2024, at 12:37 a.m., Justin R. Timberlake, 43 years old, from Tennessee, was observed driving a BMW 2025 southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a properly placed stop sign and failing to maintain his lane. A Sag Harbor Village Police Department officer initiated a traffic stop, and upon investigation, it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle while intoxicated.”
