After several moves, Janni and Peer Kusmagk have found a new home in Denmark, purchasing a house surrounded by nature.
Former professional surfer Janni Kusmagk, 33, and TV host Peer Kusmagk, 49, have experienced many changes in their eight-year relationship. They lived in Berlin and Potsdam for a while, and since late 2021, they had been staying in various places on Mallorca. However, they never quite settled on the Spanish island. Now, they have bought and renovated a house in Denmark, marking a new chapter for the couple and their three children.
Janni and Peer Kusmagk Didn’t Have a Fixed Plan
Earlier this year, the family toured several houses in the far north. In her Instagram story, Hönscheid mentioned that their future was still uncertain: “If we really find a house that appeals to us, things could move quickly. But even then, we haven’t decided if it will be just a summer house and we’ll travel in the winter, or if we’ll move here permanently. Everything is open, and we’re excited.”
She Looked After the Kids, He Renovated
The TV-famous couple found a suitable property in a green area. In recent months, Peer Kusmagk, with the help of family and friends, has been working on it—replacing floors, painting walls, and installing a new balcony railing. They even created a sunlit yoga room under the roof. Janni kept their followers updated regularly.
During this time, she took care of their three children on the island of Fehmarn and other interim locations so that the former jungle king could prepare their home as quickly and peacefully as possible. Recently, she and the kids also moved to Denmark and moved into the house a few days ago.
There are still many projects waiting on the sprawling property with its large garden and tall trees. For instance, they have just acquired some sheep, requiring a long fence to be built. They are also refurbishing an old spiral staircase from their wedding location in Heiligenhafen.
The family no longer felt comfortable on Mallorca, partly due to mold issues in their apartment. Since moving there in 2021, they had relocated multiple times on the island, as their living situations were not ideal. They initially lived on a rented finca without heating and with frequent power outages. Processionary caterpillars had also infested the trees.
Before moving to Mallorca, they had tried various accommodations in Germany, from a house with a garden to an 80-square-meter apartment. After Berlin and Potsdam, they moved to Mallorca because Hönscheid missed being close to the water. Now, it seems the family has finally found their place. Janni announced on Instagram that she feels very comfortable in their Danish home.
They Met in a Reality Show in 2016
The couple met in 2016 during the third season of the RTL nude show “Adam sucht Eva – Gestrandet im Paradies.” They got married a year later. In early August 2017, their son Emil Ocean was born, followed by daughter Yoko in July 2019, and then their son Merlin in September 2021.
