Jacqueline Kennedy is one of the most admired First Ladies in history. She’s not just a style icon; she’s often ranked among the most influential women in the United States. Even her husband, President John F. Kennedy, knew her presence on the campaign trail was a game-changer.
Despite facing many personal and professional challenges, Jacqueline remained a loving and inspiring role model for her children.
Now, her oldest granddaughter, Rose Kennedy Schlossberg, carries on her legacy. This Harvard graduate, who shares her grandmother’s love for the arts, is a living tribute to Jacqueline’s enduring spirit.
To see how closely they resemble each other, you really have to look at the photos for yourself.
Jacqueline Lee Bouvier was born on July 28, 1929, in Southampton, New York. Even before marrying John F. Kennedy, she was well-loved and respected. She went on to marry the man who would become the 35th president of the United States.
Jacqueline wasn’t just a First Lady; she was a successful book editor and a passionate supporter of the arts and historic preservation. Her legacy includes many accolades for her contributions to these fields.
She married John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1953. Their daughter Caroline was born in 1957. Sadly, only Caroline and her brother John Jr. survived infancy out of their four children.
After John’s tragic assassination in 1963, Jacqueline remarried but never had any more children.
Her granddaughter, Rose, born to Caroline, looks so much like Jacqueline!
Rose Kennedy Schlossberg, now 34, has been involved in various campaigns but hasn’t pursued a political career like some of her famous relatives. Yet, she shares many traits with her grandmother.
Both Rose and Jacqueline are not only beautiful but also share a passion for writing. After college, Jacqueline worked as a junior editor at Vogue and wrote for the student newspaper. Rose, too, is a talented writer.
She graduated with a BA in English from Harvard in 2010 and later created a comedy series called End Times Girls Club, which is a “guide to female-focused apocalyptic survival.” Rose says the idea came from seeing how unprepared New Yorkers were during Hurricane Sandy, especially the young girls who acted like damsels in distress.
Rose carries the Kennedy name with pride, often compared to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis. Though Rose was only six when Jacqueline passed away in 1994, they were very close. Rose lovingly called her “Grand Jackie.”
Jacqueline’s legacy is alive through Rose, who looks so much like her grandmother.
Rose was also very close to her uncle, John F. Kennedy Jr. When he tragically died in a plane crash on July 16, 1999, Rose faced a deep loss. Kennedy historian C. David Heymann said, “To her, he had been like a parent.
She went through a six-month period of severe depression, rarely speaking to anyone. She must have lost 30 pounds because she stopped eating.”
According to reports, Rose married restaurateur Rory McAuliffe in May 2022. They met while working as caterers at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, and have been together ever since.
A source revealed, “Rory and Rose have been secretly dating for the past eight years. Caroline, Rose’s mother, adores Rory. She already feels like a member of the family and has for some time.”
Sources claim Jackie Kennedy would have approved of the marriage. After seeing these photos, it’s clear that the late First Lady would be proud of all her grandchildren. What a wonderful legacy!
