Celine Dion, now a world-famous singer, was born on March 30, 1968, as the youngest of 14 children in the French-Canadian Dion family. She grew up in Charlemagne, a small town in Quebec that later became part of Montreal, Canada’s largest city.
From a young age, her parents, Ademar and Theresa Dion, supported her musical talent and dreams.
The Dion family owned a small bar, which provided both income and a stage for family performances. Her mother played the violin, her father played the accordion, and the children sang together.
These Sunday concerts were little Celine’s first taste of performing, helping her develop her skills and confidence.
As she grew older, Celine’s talent became more evident. Her big break came when she met Rene Angelil, who became her manager and later her husband.
