Rumors and Reality

Despite rumors about Carlyn’s health, Patrick stayed quiet and stepped out of the spotlight for a while. It was later revealed that Carlyn had passed away unexpectedly in early 2017 and was buried privately.

A few months later, Patrick shared his grief on Twitter, saying, “My heart stopped beating exactly six months ago. She ensured that I continued to breathe because she wanted me to. We’ll spend the rest of our lives together.”

Overcoming Challenges

Patrick expressed his gratitude for the support he received, saying, “I value the kindness and consideration you have shown me.” He had battled and won against skin cancer just four years before this tragedy.

Tragic Past

Patrick also faced a tragic loss in 1986 when his parents, Marie and Terence Duffy, were murdered in their Montana bar. The culprits, Kenneth Miller and Sean Wentz, were sentenced to 180 years in prison.

However, after Wentz admitted to being the gunman, Miller was released the next year.
