Gordon Ramsay, the fiery and famous English chef, is known for his culinary talents and fiery personality. Over the years, he’s become a household name, but now, he’s sharing something a bit more personal—his journey as a father for the sixth time!
Recently, Ramsay attended the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas, where he couldn’t wait to talk about the newest addition to his family—a baby boy named Jesse James.
At 57 years old, Ramsay joked about becoming a dad again, saying with a smile, “It’s extraordinary—just blessed. I’m sure I’ll be the oldest dad at the school drop-off, so I’ll be there with my spectacles and a cap!”
Earlier this month, Ramsay and his wife, Tana, welcomed their son Jesse James, who weighed a healthy seven pounds and ten ounces. Overjoyed, Ramsay shared photos of his newborn on social media, proudly stating, “3 boys, 3 girls…done.”
Tana also announced the birth on social media, expressing her relief and joy: “It’s been a nerve-wracking nine months, but we’ve made it, and we’ve been blessed with this little bundle. We adore you so much, Jesse James Ramsay.”
However, the road to this happy moment wasn’t easy. Back in 2016, the couple tragically lost their sixth child when Tana miscarried at five months. Gordon shared their heartbreak at the time, saying, “We had a devastating weekend as Tana sadly miscarried our son at five months.” He thanked everyone for their support during that tough time.
Four years later, in a 2020 interview, Tana opened up about her experience, especially after Chrissy Teigen shared her own miscarriage story publicly. Tana praised Chrissy’s bravery, saying, “I found it very emotional, and I thought she was amazing. A lot of what she went through felt very similar to my experience.”
Tana reflected on how difficult it was when people didn’t acknowledge what had happened. “It was really hard when people would talk to me and not bring it up, as if it never happened,” she said. “All I wanted to do was talk about it with friends, family, and anyone who asked. It’s a hard experience—you go from having a baby kicking inside you to suddenly, it’s not there.”
She also spoke about how supportive Gordon was through it all. “Gordon was amazing. He’s always been good at talking things out and never made me feel like we shouldn’t talk about it,” she added.
In September 2023, Gordon opened up again about the loss of their son, whom they named Rocky. He shared how deeply it affected them, saying, “It was very difficult to lose Rocky. There’s no book or movie that can help you get over that loss.”
Gordon described the experience as “life-changing.” Tana had some health concerns, so they went from celebrating the baby’s health one day to receiving devastating news the next. “It all happened in one day,” Ramsay explained, noting that the tragedy brought their family even closer.
Despite the heartbreak, the Ramsays welcomed their fifth child, Oscar, in 2019. Now, with the arrival of Jesse James in 2023, they’ve joyfully declared that their family is complete!
