Five years after the end of the successful series “Suits,” it appears that Duchess Meghan has little contact with most of her co-stars. However, Wendell Pierce not only reveals that he has met the former actress multiple times but also shares some juicy details about her marriage to Prince Harry.
Duchess Meghan, 42, met one of her best friends on the set of the hit series “Suits”: Abigail Spencer, 42. The two women remain very close, with Spencer appearing in the Netflix documentary “Harry & Meghan.” However, Prince Harry’s wife, 39, seems to have no contact with other former co-stars. At this year’s Golden Globes, Gina Torres, 55, revealed in an interview with “Variety” that there is a group chat with some “Suits” stars – but Meghan is not part of it. Torres immediately explained why: “We don’t have her number.”
Wendell Pierce, 60, who portrayed the father of Meghan’s character Rachel Zane for years on the show, seems to have a good connection with the 42-year-old, as he now reveals.
Duchess Meghan’s Co-Star Wendell Pierce Opens Up About Her Marriage to Harry
At the Tony Awards in New York on Sunday, June 16, Wendell Pierce revealed that he last met Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry last year. The couple apparently made a very affectionate impression on the actor. “When [Meghan] came to town – she received an award last year – I had the opportunity to say ‘hello’ and wish her, Prince Harry, and the children all the best,” Pierce now tells the US magazine “People.”
The “The Wire” star is likely referring to the “Women of Vision Award,” which the mother of two received in May 2023 in the East Coast metropolis. “They look very much in love and were very happy, that’s the most important thing,” the 60-year-old adds. Although the evening ended with a car chase for the royal couple, it apparently did not affect their affection for each other.
“We Were Able to Reminisce”
Pierce further explains that working with Meghan on the legal drama was “a great pleasure” for him. Since “Suits” ended in 2019, Wendell Pierce has met with the now Duchess several times. “I have seen her a couple of times since then and we were able to reminisce, and it’s really so that we have fond memories of working together,” the “Selma” actor enthuses.
