Finally, another sign of life from her: Duchess Meghan was caught by paparazzi at a market in Montecito. The 42-year-old almost managed to stay under the radar.
For weeks, Duchess Meghan, 42, seemed quiet. Her last public appearance was on May 12, 2024, when she attended a charity polo match in Lagos, Nigeria, with Prince Harry, 39. After that, it was unclear what the American was working on exactly. According to an insider, the Duchess reportedly wrapped filming for her new Netflix cooking show in early July, although this hasn’t been officially confirmed. Shortly before that, Meghan was caught at a photoshoot in Los Angeles, as a TikTok clip showed at the end of June.
Duchess Meghan strolls through an unassuming farmer’s market
Now the paparazzi have turned their attention back to Meghan: In a newly released snapshot, taken on June 21 according to the photo agency “Action Press,” the Duchess is seen at a farmer’s market in Montecito. Although her face isn’t visible in the picture, the former actress is clearly recognizable by her clothing. Meghan wore a white and blue striped sweater with her hair up in a bun. Prince Harry’s wife is known for her love of striped patterns.
Allegedly, after her brief shopping trip, the Duchess headed straight to the set of her cooking show, which Netflix has rented a property for, as reported by the “Daily Mail.” Passing by, photographers managed to catch another glimpse of Meghan sitting in the car.
Finding peace in Montecito
Among the other market-goers, Meghan would have almost gone unnoticed. In her casual outfit, the former “Suits” actress fits perfectly into the setting of the relaxed and quiet coastal town of Montecito. Since 2020, the Duchess has been living at the American Riviera with her husband and their two children, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3.
The exciting times when almost daily headlines appeared about King Charles’ 75-year-old daughter-in-law seem to be behind her. Instead, the Los Angeles-born former actress is focusing on her family and feel-good projects like her lifestyle brand “American Riviera Orchard.” Just last May, Meghan declared at a panel discussion in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria: “I love being a mom. […] The balance that seemed even ten years ago, it’s going to be uneven. And so being a mother has always been a dream of mine. And I’m fortunate to have two beautiful, healthy, very chatty, and sweet kids.”
