Prince William and Taylor Swift have shared selfies together on social media. How might Duchess Meghan have reacted? After all, Prince Harry’s wife is reportedly very eager to be friends with the pop singer.
Prince William, 42, celebrated his birthday on Friday evening, June 21, 2024, at Taylor Swift’s first London concert at Wembley Stadium. Along with his kids, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, and cousins Zara Tindall, 43, and her husband Mike, 45, the Prince of Wales enjoyed the live music and danced quite a bit. The husband of Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, and his oldest children captured the legendary evening with two different selfies with the pop queen, preserving the moment forever. For Duchess Meghan, 42, these photos could be a stab to the heart.
Duchess Meghan Wants to Be Friends with Taylor Swift
Earlier this year, it was revealed that the Duchess of Sussex longs to be friends with the currently ubiquitous musician. Reportedly, Prince Harry’s wife, 39, made her first attempt to get closer last year by inviting the singer to her then-podcast “Archetypes,” but Swift declined, according to the “Wall Street Journal.”
Meghan didn’t give up, attending a concert of the “Blank Space” singer in the spring, with an ulterior motive. “Meghan attended the Taylor Swift concert in Los Angeles and made sure the tabloids knew she was there. It was important for Meghan to communicate to the gossip pages that she was present and wanted people to know,” explained royal expert Kinsey Schofield in a conversation with “GB America.”
William Has Already Achieved It
Now it seems as if Meghan’s brother-in-law, Prince William, has achieved exactly what she dreams of. The heir to the throne has known Taylor Swift for many years, even sharing the stage with her and Jon Bon Jovi, 62, at the Centrepoint Charity Gala in 2013.
The selfies now circulating online once again prove how well the firstborn of King Charles, 75, and the “Cruel Summer” singer get along. How Meghan reacted to the pictures can only be speculated. But with a bit of wistfulness, she might have looked towards London on Friday.
