Given Shania Twain’s reputation for bold and daring style choices, it was no surprise that her outfit at the Lytham Festival earlier this month grabbed a lot of attention.
At 58 years old, Twain wowed the crowd on July 4 at the Lytham Festival in the UK, showing she still has the style and talent to captivate an audience.
After her performance, the Canadian singer-songwriter posted a six-photo carousel on Instagram with the caption: “All right, so you’re Ken? That really does amaze me! 😂 Meet Ken, for any of you who missed my show last night! Over the years, he has [gone] all over the world to see me perform, and I got to repay the favor by [going] to play in gorgeous Lytham. This time, all he had to do was get the bus to my event! 🥰😂”
Twain looked stunning in an orange puffer jacket and black cowboy hat. But what really caught everyone’s eye were her legs, especially in a pair of black fishnet tights.
Fans of the country singer had mixed reactions to her daring costume on social media.
“To look that wonderful at 58, I believe the majority of women would ❤️,” one admirer said. “Shania is a gorgeous woman and an extraordinarily talented performer.”

However, some people had more critical comments about Shania’s outfit choices.
On Instagram, someone asked, “What’s happened to your legs? Thus thin?”
Another added, “No shape anymore, no curves, stick legs.”
A third disapproving fan remarked, “What is she wearing? Is that something to wear underwear? Rather tasteless. Why the frantic need for approval? She was never like this in the past.”
One person simply instructed the singer to “put some clothes on.”
Despite the varied opinions online, Twain’s performance at the Lytham Festival seems to have been a hit. Her rendition of her classic song “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” which has nearly 196 million streams online, was a highlight of the night.
