Sometimes in life, we meet someone and know right away they’re the one we want to spend forever with. Not everyone is lucky enough to find their soulmate, but when you do, hold onto them tightly and never let go.
Every morning, an 80-year-old man visits his wife in a nursing home, bringing her flowers and breakfast.
One day, a curious visitor noticed his daily routine and asked why his wife was staying there. The man replied, “She has Alzheimer’s disease.”
The visitor then asked, “Would your wife be worried if you didn’t come and bring her breakfast one day?”
The man shook his head and said, “She doesn’t remember. She hasn’t recognized me in five years; she doesn’t even know who I am.”
Still puzzled, the visitor asked, “So why do you bring your wife breakfast every morning if she doesn’t recognize you?”
The man smiled warmly and said, “She doesn’t know who I am, but I know who she is.”
